SHINE SPECT is seeking a Staff Accountant II who will be responsible for performing a variety of accounting and financial tasks to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. This position supports the month-end close process, account reconciliations, general ledger maintenance, accounts receivable and accounts payable processing and assists with audits and compliance reporting. The Staff Accountant II serves as a key contributor to the finance team, bringing a solid understanding of accounting principles and the ability to work independently on moderately complex assignments.

The base salary range for this position is $75,000 - $100,000 per year plus a comprehensive compensation package. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Month-End Close

• Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring accuracy and proper documentation.
• Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual account reconciliations for balance sheet and income statement accounts.
• Support the month-end and year-end close processes to ensure timely completion.
• Review and analyze general ledger accounts for accuracy and compliance with GAAP.

Reporting & Analysis

• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and management reports.
• Support financial audits and compliance initiatives.
• Assist with capital expenditure tracking and cost reporting.

Collaboration & Process Improvement

• Partner with operations to understand production inefficiencies and reflect these in cost structures.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives and support training on revised procedures.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in accounts receivable, accounts payable, or cost accounting (manufacturing or pharma experience preferred).
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite/SAP preferred).
• Strong and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams.
