Veterinary Appointment Assistant

About the Role:
Appointment assistants are primarily responsible for obtaining patient histories, drawing and submitting laboratory samples, assisting with diagnostic imaging, participating in procedures specific to the department, and providing client education.
Compensation:- $18 - $22 pending skills assessment leveling
Schedule:
- Four 9-hour shifts per week
About the Hospital:
Mass Vet is located between two major highways in Woburn, Massachusetts, which is easily accessible from Southern New Hampshire and the surrounding Boston areas. We are a large facility with Emergency, Critical Care, Anesthesia, Surgery, Neurology, Diagnostic Imaging, Cardiology, Internal Medicine, Oncology and Ophthalmology. We also have an onsite compounding pharmacy.
About You:
Above all else, a positive attitude, great communication, commitment to patient care and teamwork are essential to the Surgery Service. From a technical standpoint we are looking for someone with a solid technical background. Knowledge of surgery is not required - we are committed to teaching!

These courses are taught by experienced VTS credentialed technicians on-site and include paid classroom and clinical rotation time.
