Jira Analyst
Overview
We are seeking a Lead Jira Specialist to support a high-visibility government program operating within a Large-Scale Agile (LeSS) framework. This role partners closely with a Scrum Master and Agile leadership to ensure Jira is accurately configured, maintained, and leveraged to provide clear visibility into software development activity across multiple teams.
The ideal candidate brings deep hands-on Jira expertise, an understanding of Agile/LeSS environments, and the ability to translate complex technical activity into clear, structured Jira artifacts, reports, and dashboards for government stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities

Serve as Lead Jira Specialist, supporting a Scrum Master within an established Agile environment

Own day-to-day Jira execution across a large, multi-team government program

Maintain and administer Jira boards, workflows, configurations, and permissions

Support a Large-Scale Scrum (LeSS) framework spanning 6-12 Agile teams

Capture, normalize, and structure inputs from technical leads and Agile teams

Ensure data accuracy, traceability, and integrity within Jira

Translate software development activity into clear, actionable Jira artifacts

Produce accurate, on-demand reports and dashboards for government stakeholders

Enable cross-team coordination and visibility across the Agile program

Quickly absorb program context and reflect it accurately in Jira data, workflows, and reporting

Support Agile ceremonies and reporting needs as required
Required Qualifications
-
Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance

U.S. citizenship required
-
Minimum 5 years of directly applicable Jira experience, preferably supporting government or defense programs

Strong understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies, including Large-Scale Scrum (LeSS)

Experience supporting software development environments and development workflows

Proven ability to manage and maintain Jira data accuracy and reporting integrity

Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to translate technical activity into meaningful metrics and reports
Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of applicable experience, or
-
Master's degree with 3+ years of applicable experience, or
-
PhD with applicable experience

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $135000.00 - $150000.00/hr.
