Program Manager, Technology & Standards - Wakefield, MA
Summary: The Program Manager, Technology & Standards leads Virtual's engagement in assigned client product families with a focus on driving efficiency and successful outcomes. This role is a blend of operational management and some strategic advisory function. The person in this position is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day client services operations, providing guidance to clients as applicable, and coordination with other functional staff resources deployed to the client team, all in an effort to help clients grow and thrive.
Preference for local candidates to work out of our Wakefield, MA office 3 days/week.
Here's what you'll do:
- Support end-to-end delivery of assigned Product Family components.
- Serve as primary client contact for Virtual, managing all facets of service delivery and account strategy. Ensure high level service excellence.
- Work with key client stakeholders to ensure strategic goals and objectives are established and clearly communicated. Oversee the delivery of programs and development in accordance with client strategic plans including complex client activities and/or projects.
- Guide and facilitate association personnel such as client members, board members and officers.
- Engage in internal client success meetings to ensure ongoing schedule, engage with wider management team as needed to discuss client goals and challenges.
- Work closely with the client to establish proper governance and structure to help drive vision and mission of the organization.
- Contribute to the formulation of client policies, programs and procedures. Make recommendations for future growth.
- Overall project and program management and support for all client services and company initiatives.
- Facilitate client conference calls/face-to-face meetings; including taking meeting minutes and documenting action items and decision points.
- Continually seek opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and deepen client relationships.
- Oversight of client budgets in collaboration with client and Virtual finance team.
- Collaborate with other departments within Virtual including marketing, PR, events, finance and technology solutions to ensure client goals are being met and excellent service delivered.
- Maintain, analyze and deliver program metrics.
As our next Program Manager, you will bring:
- 5+ Years Account/Project/Program Manager experience in PR, Marketing, High-Tech, Consulting, or Industry Association environment.
- Bachelor's (B.A./B.S.) degree required.
- Strong written and verbal communications skills.
- Experience working with multiple cultures across all time zones a plus.
- Comfortable being front-and-center in a client advisory role, helping to lead industry executives.
- Natural leadership traits in a team/group environment.
- High level of creativity and "rolled up sleeves" working style.
- Detail-oriented, with effective organizational skills, including strong time-management, the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and set and achieve strategic objectives.
- Must be a self-starter with ability to work well under pressure, and work independently and as a strong team player with hands-on customer service skills.
- Computer proficiency; specifically, with Microsoft Office Suite. Understanding of and openness to learning new collaboration tools and guiding the client in best practices.
- Willingness and ability to travel, if required (30%, both international and domestic, valid passport required)
- Willingness and availability for calls outside normal business hours, when needed, due to the global aspect of client business.
The target hiring range for this role is $68,000 - $78,000 USD (annually). The starting base salary will be determined based on skills, experience, location, and other job-related factors.
