ICU Registered Nurse Job Details

• Location: Brighton, Massachusetts 02135 (Boston area)
• Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (RN)
• Unit: Intensive Care Unit (ICU) – Critical Care Nursing
• Duration: 13-week contract (8/25/2025 – 11/22/2025)
• Shift: 12-hour shifts, rotating days/nights
• Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed
• Schedule: Every other weekend to start, then every third weekend if possible; every other holiday
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2,170 - $2,230

ICU RN Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU Registered Nurse experience required
• Active Massachusetts RN license (required for Massachusetts nursing jobs)
• BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association preferred)
• Telemetry experience required; must independently read and interpret telemetry rhythm strips (telemetry test on day 1)
• Nursing degree: Diploma, ASN, or BSN (BSN preferred)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Basic computer proficiency
• Physical ability to perform essential nursing duties

ICU Registered Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive critical care nursing to ICU patients
• Assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
• Educate patients and families on care plans and treatments
• Collaborate and communicate with multidisciplinary healthcare team members
• Coordinate and delegate patient care activities to clinical support staff
• Accurately update and manage electronic patient records
• Interpret and enter computerized clinical data
• Adhere to established nursing department guidelines and hospital policies
• Support leadership with quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
