Prep Cook:
Blue Hill Country Club is hiring a motivated, experienced Prep Cook to join our kitchen team in Canton, MA.
The Role:
As a Prep Cook, you will support daily kitchen operations across multiple stations during meal service and assist with food preparation for banquets and events. This is a hands-on position in a fast-paced, team-oriented kitchen.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare ingredients including washing, peeling, cutting, and chopping.
- Measure, portion, and assemble ingredients according to recipes.
- Store food properly to maintain freshness and food safety standards.
- Assist line cooks and chefs during service as needed.
- Clean and maintain kitchen equipment and work areas.
- Label, stock, and organize ingredients and supplies.
- Follow food safety and sanitation procedures at all times.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment.
Requirements:
- 1+ year of experience in a prep cook or similar kitchen role.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. overhead and move up to 50 lbs.
- Comfortable working in a commercial kitchen environment.
Compensation: $20–$24 per hour
