Entry Level Environmental Scientist, Engineer, or Geologist - Boston
Your impact
As an Entry Level Engineer based in our Boston office, you’ll support Jacobs’ remediation and regeneration and water businesses, with a particular focus on emerging contaminants, such as PFAs. You’ll be involved in projects for both private and federal clients, supporting work related to environmental assessment, site characterization, treatment, remediation, monitoring, regulatory engagement, and technical reporting.
This role will be approximately 80% office based, with up to 20% travel locally and within North America. Field work may include characterizing soil, groundwater, surface water, sediment, and treated discharge, collecting air samples, and performing routine sampling and testing in either a lead or support role. You’ll also oversee specialty subcontractors performing maintenance, investigation, drilling, survey, and remediation work. You’ll work closely with multidisciplinary project teams and contribute to the development of technical documents such as field logs, health and safety documentation, work plans, investigation reports, monitoring reports, remediation reports, regulatory submittals, and other client deliverables.
We’ll rely on you to complete tasks within schedule and budget with a variety of teams from different disciplines and backgrounds and communicate the status of tasks to project managers. If something is unclear, we know you’ll ask questions to clarify the scope. Safety will be your priority, as you lead and support safety “incident free” operations in the office and in the field.
Bring your collaborative spirit, organization, and desire to do great work for internal and external clients, and we’ll help grow what drives you – to deliver the best environmental solutions, together.
