Assembler I
Job Summary:
Responsible for assembling parts, wiring, and adjusting precision units to produce products at floor stations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Follow all safety policies and PPE requirements
- Assembles, tests and repairs precision components and units.
- Examines component parts for defects.
- Measures parts to ensure conformance to specified dimensions.
- Trims and smooth parts using tools to ensure fit.
Qualifications:
- Performs work under direct supervision.
- Handles basic issues and problems and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff.
- Possesses beginning to work knowledge of subject matter.
Education Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull materials and equipment up to 40 pounds.
- Ability to stand, sit, bend, walk, kneel, reach, and perform repetitive movements for extended periods of time.
- Comfortable working in a shop environment that may include noise, machine operation, metal chips, oils and varying temperatures .
- $19.60 - $22.00/hour based on experience
