Position Summary:
We are seeking a Controls Testing Analyst / Operational Risk Analyst to join a leading financial services organization with operations across North America. This consultant will partner with subject matter experts to document operational processes and design controls testing scripts that support quality assurance and risk management activities.
Essential Duties:
· Develop detailed test scripts for operational processes within banking operations environments.
· Conduct process walkthroughs with subject matter experts to document procedures and controls.
· Translate operational workflows into structured testing and quality control documentation.
· Identify key control points within processes and document associated testing requirements.
· Collaborate with stakeholders across operations, compliance, and risk management teams.
· Support operational risk and control validation initiatives through documentation and analysis.
· Maintain clear and organized documentation supporting testing execution and audit readiness.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Risk Management, or related field.
· 3+ years of experience in operational risk, controls testing, or banking operations.
· Experience in financial services environments supporting deposits, statements, or account management operations preferred.
· Experience with Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) processes strongly preferred.
Skills and Job-Specific Competencies:
· Controls testing and first line of defense (1LOD) experience.
· Test script development and process documentation expertise.
· Knowledge of banking operations including deposits, statements, and account management.
· Familiarity with operational risk frameworks and compliance monitoring.
· Strong analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
· Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration abilities.
Travel Requirements: No travel will be required, unless at the client's discretion.

Salary Range: SolomonEdwards values your unique and individual experience and background. As such, we take a comprehensive approach when determining compensation for our roles. The compensation for this specific role is based on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to education, licensure and certifications, location, experience, and training. A reasonable estimate for the current hourly range for this role is $50 - 80.
