About TeamBonding:
TeamBonding is a leading corporate team building company that helps organizations create human connections through purposeful play, offering in-person, virtual, and charitable experiences nationwide.
Our marketing team is responsible for driving qualified demand, strengthening our brand, and helping sales teams convert interest into booked programs.
Role Overview:
The Head of Marketing is a hands-on strategic leader responsible for owning demand generation and brand growth. This role will bring the fractional CMO function fully in-house: setting strategy, leading a high-performing marketing team, and executing integrated campaigns across paid, owned, and earned channels. The Head of Marketing will partner closely with sales to drive lead acquisition, improve conversion rates, and support revenue growth, while ensuring all marketing aligns with TeamBonding’s brand voice, core messaging, and seasonal business cycles.
This is a “player-coach” role: you will lead, prioritize, and also roll up your sleeves to get work done.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategy, Planning & Leadership:
- Own the marketing strategy and quarterly planning process, aligning priorities to company goals, seasonality, and pipeline needs.
- Lead and guide the marketing team, ensuring clear priorities, timelines, and accountability.
- Work directly with the CEO and cross-functional partners (Sales, PR agency, podcast team, operations, and external consultants).
- Provide creative direction and strategy across campaigns, including trade shows, program launches, press initiatives, advertising, video content, and new marketing initiatives.
- Establish an AI-enabled marketing approach (tools, guidelines, and workflows) to increase speed and consistency while protecting TeamBonding’s brand voice, accuracy, and IP.
- Ensure all marketing efforts align with TeamBonding’s brand voice, core messaging, and positioning across all channels.
Budget Ownership & Vendor Management:
- Own and manage the marketing budget, including planning, forecasting, pacing, and ROI evaluation.
- Allocate spend across channels and initiatives (paid media, SEO, web development, tools/software, contractors/agencies, trade shows, creative production).
- Manage external agencies and consultants: scope, contracts, deliverables, timelines, and performance.
- Regularly report budget performance and marketing ROI to leadership.
Demand Generation & Pipeline Growth:
- Develop, implement, and optimize demand generation programs across paid, owned, and earned channels (email, web, social, paid media).
- Partner closely with Sales to align pipeline-building efforts, improve lead quality, and strengthen conversion.
- Build and optimize lead journeys: acquisition → nurture → MQL/SQL → pipeline contribution.
- Create campaign briefs, messaging, and measurable success metrics for each initiative.
- Use AI-assisted experimentation to accelerate campaign iteration (messaging variants, creative testing, audience hypotheses) and improve conversion across channels.
Website, SEO & Conversion Optimization:
- Oversee SEO strategy and performance, ensuring optimization of new and existing program pages and adherence to best practices.
- Own website roadmap and priorities (new pages, integrations, CRO improvements), ensuring quality control and alignment with brand messaging.
- Partner with the Marketing Manager to manage website updates, troubleshooting, and ongoing optimizations.
- Collaborate cross-functionally on program launches by overseeing the creation of launch messaging and web needs (landing pages, program pages, assets), ensuring on-time delivery and brand consistency.
- Leverage AI to support SEO content refreshes, internal linking opportunities, and CRO testing ideas, ensuring human review and brand/quality standards before publishing.
Marketing Operations, Analytics & Technology (HubSpot + Salesforce):
- Own the marketing ops strategy and performance standards across HubSpot + Salesforce (attribution, lead stages, lifecycle definitions, data hygiene, reporting).
- Oversee HubSpot execution (email marketing, nurturing, segmentation, automations, monthly newsletter), led day-to-day by the Marketing Manager.
- Manage relationships and priorities with Salesforce/HubSpot consultants to improve integration, workflows, automation, and long-term optimization.
- Define KPI dashboards and reporting cadence; ensure the team delivers actionable insights from Google Analytics, HubSpot, Salesforce, and tools like Hotjar.
- Use performance insights to guide channel strategy, budget allocation, and quarterly planning.
Content, Creative & Brand Stewardship:
- Oversee content strategy across blog, LinkedIn newsletters, case studies, landing pages, and sales enablement.
- Direct the graphic designer in creating and coordinating print and digital materials aligned with seasonal campaigns.
- Maintain best practices for asset management (organized storage, version control, tracking of edits/uploads).
- Leverage AI to support SEO content refreshes, internal linking opportunities, and CRO testing ideas, ensuring human review and brand/quality standards before publishing.
Podcast, PR & Brand Initiatives:
- Oversee the Team Building Podcast strategy and performance, ensuring topics, guests, and episode launches align with quarterly campaigns, brand messaging, and demand generation goals.
- Partner with the Marketing Manager (day-to-day lead) on podcast planning, guest pipeline support, production timelines, launch execution, and distribution via Podbean and the website.
- Collaborate with the PR agency on press initiatives and integrated promotional campaigns; ensure messaging consistency and strong cross-channel amplification.
- Oversee video and brand storytelling initiatives (concepting direction, campaign alignment, and measurement), while delegating day-to-day production coordination to the Marketing Manager and/or external partners.
Trade Shows & Field Marketing:
- Set trade show and field marketing strategy in partnership with Sales: setting goals, themes, positioning, and success metrics for each event.
- Partner with the Marketing Manager (day-to-day lead) to coordinate execution: marketing materials, branding assets, booth collateral, landing pages, and pre-/during-/post-show promotions.
- Oversee post-event follow-up strategy and messaging; ensure the Marketing Manager builds and optimizes follow-up campaigns for attendees and hot leads in HubSpot.
- Ensure booth messaging, landing pages, and campaign tie-ins are aligned to pipeline creation, and that performance is tracked and reported (leads captured, conversion rates, influenced pipeline).
