Tax and Finance Operational Analyst, Tax Technology & Transformation (Program Management Office) (Manager)(Multiple Positions) (1601969), Ernst & Young U.S. LLP, New York, NY.
Assist clients and internal teams by establishing and operating a program management office (PMO) regarding the transition of some or all the clients' tax function to EY. Assist with the design and execution of transition plans for these transformational engagements. Use a standard global compliance methodology providing clients with an integrated service that unlocks the full potential of the tax function across the entire tax life cycle. Work with management assisting in the various processes of the PMO, integrated transition planning and execution. Communicate the status and progress of the day-to-day operations of the PMO and transition plans/processes on a regular basis to internal stakeholders and to the client. Develop complex web-based platforms to deliver service offerings, create standardized processes for complex ETL issues, and conduct technology risk reviews. Oversee the design, implementation, and integration of technology solutions which enable tax departments to gather, organize and analyze high volumes of data. Monitor progress, manage risk, maximize operational efficiencies and ensure key stakeholders are kept informed about progress and expected outcomes. Aid in the effort of continuing to standardize and improve our internal processes and go-to-market approaches. Manage and motivate teams of professionals with diverse skills and backgrounds. Consistently deliver quality client services by monitoring progress. Demonstrate in-depth technical capabilities and professional knowledge. Maintain long-term client relationships and networks. Cultivate business development opportunities.
Full time employment, Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week, 8:30 am - 5:30 pm.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Must have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, Tax or a related field and 6 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate work experience in an accounting, financial analysis or financial services environment. Alternatively, will accept a Master's degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, Tax or a related field and 5 years of work experience in an accounting, financial analysis or financial services environment. Must have 5 years of experience establishing program governance structure, operating models, and transition/ transformation/implementation scope of services aligned to technology deployment. Must have 5 years of experience monitoring and reporting on performance, quality and effectiveness of program services, including adherence to established KPIs, CPIs and other contractual obligations. Must have 5 years of experience coordinating with internal teams to develop detailed budgets and timelines for end-to-end program activities. Must have 5 years of experience with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Visio. Must have 5 years of experience with the Microsoft Power BI suite, including PowerPivot, Power Query, Power View and Power Map. Must have 5 years of experience with data integration, information systems, data migration, and ETL (extract, transform and load), including Informatica and/or Python Must have 3 years of experience at a mid-sized/regional to large sized/national professional services firm, consulting firm, or public accounting firm. Must have 2 years of experience in robotics process automation software configuration, design, implementation and operation, including Blue Prism, Automation Anywhere, PEGA, and/or UiPath. Must have 2 years of experience with VBA and Alteryx. Must have 2 years of experience supervising teams consisting of at least 2 people on multiple projects and providing direction to team members Must have 1 year of experience managing tax engagements, including engagement-related budgeting and billing, serving as a primary point of contact for clients, and escalating issues to tax partners or executives as needed. Must have project management certification, a CPA license and/or Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt or higher, or the ability to obtain within one year of hire or promotion. Travel required up to 40%, including up to 5% international travel, to serve client needs. Employer will accept any suitable combination of education, training or experience.
