Correctional nurses are part of a multi-disciplinary team providing medical and mental health treatment. Correctional nursing provides opportunities to develop a broad spectrum of nursing skills providing treatment in the areas of emergency medicine, chronic disease, detoxification, mental illness and prenatal care.
