We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst to join our team in Boston, Massachusetts. This is a long-term contract position that requires deep expertise in financial instruments and asset management data domains. The role focuses on collaborating with clients and stakeholders to drive innovative solutions that enhance data services across front, middle, and back-office operations.
Responsibilities:• Collaborate with clients and technical teams to gather and document business requirements for data services integration.
• Guide clients through reference data setup, mapping, and other configurations during implementation phases.
• Conduct detailed analysis of existing and emerging data platform functionalities to identify enhancement opportunities.
• Define standards for data ingestion, enrichment, and validation within the enterprise data management system.
• Participate in agile development processes, including testing and supporting newly developed features.
• Document product specifications and create business cases to support development initiatives.
• Maintain and update client-facing documentation to ensure clarity and usability.
• Act as a subject matter expert for consultancy, implementation, configuration, and demonstrations of data services.
• Monitor ongoing enhancements to client services and incorporate them into development roadmaps.
• Support delivery plans and project estimates for integration projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives.• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field.
• At least 10 years of experience with financial instruments, accounting data, and asset types such as fixed income, derivatives, equities, and general ledger.
• Proficiency in data management systems and integration of investment accounting and back-office data.
• Experience with software implementation projects and third-party licensing processes.
• Familiarity with data structures in platforms like Aladdin or other front-office service providers.
• Solid understanding of data governance, cataloging, quality, and lineage concepts.
• Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite, SQL, JIRA, and agile methodologies.
• Excellent documentation and communication skills to create and manage business requirement documents and validation plans.
