Elementary Special Education Teacher - Behavioral Disabilities (PreK to 8)

Location: Burlington, Massachusetts
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $45 to $55/hour

What you'll do
  • Deliver individualized instruction aligned with student IEP goals.
  • Develop and implement IEPs, accommodations, and progress reports.
  • Implement positive behavior intervention strategies.
  • Create engaging lessons that support academic, communication, social, emotional, and behavioral development.
  • Modify curriculum to meet diverse learning needs.
  • Supervise Teaching Assistants.
  • Collaborate with BCBAs, Speech Language Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, Counselors, and other specialists.
  • Support students with activities of daily living when needed.
  • Collect student data and complete required documentation.
What you'll need
  • Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree in progress required.
  • Massachusetts DESE Moderate Disabilities License (PreK to 8) or eligibility.
  • Experience supporting students with significant behavioral challenges and average intellectual abilities.
  • Strong behavior management and positive behavior intervention experience.
  • Experience developing and implementing IEPs.
  • Ability to provide physical assistance and support activities of daily living.
  • Valid driver's license with willingness to drive a school van.
