Job Summary:
BB&N seeks a highly organized Parent Engagement and Advancement Event Manager with demonstrated experience in volunteer management and multifaceted event execution to oversee the BB&N Parents’ Association (PA) initiatives including several multi-neighborhood parent socials in late summer and on-campus PA events and initiatives throughout the school year. This role serves as the primary liaison to the BB&N Parent Association Executive Board and its volunteers and plays a critical role in fostering community, connection, and engagement among BB&N families.
The Parent Engagement and Advancement Event Manager collaborates with Advancement and school partners in the execution of several of BB&N’s signature events designed to cultivate meaningful community connections, deepen engagement, and strengthen philanthropic support across all campuses and constituents.
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Parent Engagement
Collaborating with the PA Executive Board to develop and execute a yearlong calendar of community-building events and programs highlighting Affinity Group engagement and overall Parents’ Association initiatives.
Providing leadership and operational support for all on-campus PA-sponsored events, including all planning logistics, database guest registration/management, school/vendor cross-team coordination, communications, and day-of execution.
Ensuring the delivery of high-quality, mission-driven events that meet the goal and objective of Parents’ Association and Affinity Group sponsored events.
Comprehensive Database Event Management – Leverage BB&N’s existing CRM system to plan and execute all aspects of Parents’ Association events, including building custom online registration forms, managing guest lists and communications, and generating reports to support data-driven event planning and follow-up.
Advancement Events:
Planning and executing key Advancement events.
Collaborating with Advancement colleagues, School leadership, faculty, and staff to ensure events align with BB&N's mission and strategic goals.
Managing vendor relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring events are executed within budget and on schedule.
Comprehensive Database Event Management – Leverage BB&N’s existing CRM system to plan and execute all aspects of key Advancement events, including building custom online registration forms, managing guest lists, collaborating with Advancement partners for event communications, and generating reports to support data-driven event planning and follow-up.
Skills and Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have 4 or more years experience coordinating special events with a focus on creative and strategic project management in non-profit settings. A Bachelor's degree is preferred. In addition, the ideal candidate will have the following skills, competencies, and experience:
Demonstrated experience in event planning and building a core of volunteers
Proven ability to lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams and manage volunteers effectively
Highly organized and adept at managing multiple priorities
Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, and the ability to articulate the School's mission and priorities
Creative problem solver with strong attention to detail
Aptitude for computer technology and software including but not limited to Microsoft Office Suite, Google Sheets and Workbook, and the ability to learn new technologies
Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends
Demonstrates professional and positive interpersonal skills
