DIRECT SUPPORT PROFESSIONAL

Direct Support Professional –Easthampton, MA. Day Shift - Monday-Friday - $20.00/hour to start.

We are actively hiring Direct Support Professionals to join our dedicated team. The purpose of this direct care position is to maximize the independence, skills, and self-esteem of the individuals we serve. This position provides direct care to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Shifts: Monday - Friday. Per Diem, 32-hours full time; 37.5 hours full time; 40 hours full time (includes afternoon driving or monitoring shift on a Riverside van)

• Experienced Direct Care Workers , as well as CNAs, LPNs, PCAs, Teaching Assistants, and Paraprofessionals are encouraged to apply.
• Excellent communication skills are imperative
• Must be comfortable engaging and interacting with the people we serve, their families and colleagues.
• We welcome applicants who are multi-language speakers as well as those who are familiar with American Sign Language (ASL).
• If you have experience working with behaviorally challenged individuals, that is a plus .
• Body mechanics and strength requirements are needed when working with and assisting individuals utilizing wheelchairs, gait belts, lifts, or mat work.
