Rockland Federal Credit Union (RFCU) is searching for an outgoing, friendly, service focused individual to join our Teller team in Mansfield. If you enjoy working with members and have experience handing cash and working with computers, this position could be for you!

Key Responsibilities

• Provides assistance and member service by processing a variety of transactions, i.e., cashing checks, depositing and/or withdrawing funds from accounts, accepting mortgage and consumer loan payments, loan advances, loan payoffs, Travelers Cheques and Cards, tax deposits, certified checks and Visa advances.
• Maintains cash drawer and balances work on a daily basis by proving all transactions against computer printout. Maintains adequate cash supply by purchasing/selling cash to the vault.
• Ensures proper daily upkeep of work station and ensures adequate supply of forms and materials.
• Performs clerical functions by filing signature cards and deleting cards relative to closed accounts. Posts interest on passbooks being held as collateral on secured loans. Cracks coin rolls and processes for shipment.
• Processes necessary documentation for all transactions affected by the Bank Secrecy Act.
• May assist with verification of currency deliveries by performing counts on funds received.
• Responds to member inquiries and provides information relative to Credit Union policies and procedures.
• May assist Head Tellers with branch reconciliation by adding checks, money orders, treasurer's checks, Visa payments, etc.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Previous cash handling and customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with members and staff.
• Ability to perform work with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to operate a computer keyboard, adding machine, and check scanner.
• Ability to lift teller drawer and boxes and bags of coin, weighing up to 50 pounds. Able to stand for long periods of time at the teller station while assisting members.

Work Schedule and Benefits

As a Teller I, you will work a 40-hour full-time schedule Monday through Friday, with extended hours on Thursday & Friday, and a half-day on Saturday.
