Carpentry-Wood Fabricator (Fence Products)
Job Summary:
Premier Fence, LLC is seeking a skilled and motivated Custom Wood & PVC Fabricator to join our production team. This role is responsible for fabricating custom wood and/or PVC products, including but not limited to fence panels, gates, posts, and other unique materials and components. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-focused, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced shop environment using a variety of hand and power tools. Premier Fence is a drug-free workplace that requires pre-employment screenings that include Marijuana.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Read, interpret, and follow plans and blueprints to produce custom products within required tolerances and specifications.
- Safely and effectively operate power saws, routers, and various hand and power tools.
- Load, position, and adjust workpieces onto equipment or worktables.
- Measure, mark, and inspect materials to ensure specifications and quality standards are met.
- Manufacture panels and other materials through grinding, sanding, polishing, and finishing processes.
- Verify the quality of finished products by visual inspection, templates, and precise measurements.
- Build custom products using appropriate tools and equipment.
- Transfer finished products to designated work areas using appropriate moving devices.
- Work collaboratively with team members; ask for assistance when needed and provide constructive feedback.
- Assist in other shop areas as needed or as directed.
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines to maintain a safe work environment.
- Demonstrate a strong sense of urgency in completing assigned tasks.
- Follow instructions provided by the Production Manager.
- Maintain punctuality and consistent attendance.
- Take responsibility for completing work accurately and in a timely manner.
- Maintain a positive attitude toward personal, departmental, and company goals.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of experience in wood or PVC product fabrication.
- Ability to work in a high-dust environment and wear safety equipment, including masks, as required.
- Ability to visually differentiate between colors and textures.
- Ability to work in a dynamic, high-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship.
- Commitment to workplace safety and quality standards.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening that includes Marijuana.
