Construction Project Lead (Hybrid)
Location: Marlborough, MA (Hybrid – 2 days onsite: Tuesday & Wednesday)
Job Type: Contract
Experience Required: 3+ Years
Pay Rate: $30–$40/hour
Job Overview
We are seeking a highly organized Construction Project Lead to support multiple retail construction and signage projects. This role is ideal for someone who can manage several projects simultaneously, coordinate with contractors and store teams, and handle project documentation while ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage multiple construction and signage projects across various retail locations.
- Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and internal teams throughout the project lifecycle.
- Prepare project documentation, contracts, and kickoff communications.
- Review and approve proposals, invoices, and project-related documents.
- Track project schedules, budgets, and progress to ensure timely completion.
- Respond to phone calls and emails from field teams, contractors, and stakeholders, providing guidance and resolving issues.
- Perform administrative tasks, including invoice approvals and project reporting.
- Ensure contractors follow project specifications and agreed pricing.
- Support project closeout activities and maintain accurate project records.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in Construction, Facilities, Store Planning, Architectural Design, Fixturing, or a related field.
- Experience managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational, time management, and project coordination skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize changing workloads and meet deadlines.
- Experience working with contractors, vendors, and cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and Adobe Acrobat.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, including floor plans, elevations, and site plans.
Preferred Qualifications
- Retail construction or store planning experience.
- Knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and retail store layouts.
- Experience with large-scale construction rollouts.
- Familiarity with ServiceChannel, Lucernex, or similar project management tools.
- Understanding of landlord requirements and local building/signage codes.
