Per-Diem Meals on Wheels Delivery Driver

Delivering meals with care to make a difference in someone's life! As a Meals on Wheels Delivery Driver you will be delivering meals to older adults and adults living with disabilities in the community. This also provides our homebound consumers with an opportunity to socialize and see a friendly face.

Schedule: This is a per-diem position and can be up to 15 hours/week. Monday - Friday between the hours of 9am -1pm.

Compensation: $22.00 per hour.

This is a multi-route position and you can be assigned to deliver meals in any of the following communities: Chelsea, Everett, Malden, Medford, Melrose, North Reading, Reading, Revere, Stoneham, Wakefield, and Winthrop.

Qualifications:

• Must have a current Massachusetts driver's license with private transportation suitable for delivery use.
• Ability to lift and carry 35 lbs and climb up and down stairs, several times a day.
• Ability to understand a color-coded system that is used for meal distribution.
• Must be punctual, honest and dependable.
• Must have the ability to keep accurate records.
• Map reading ability.
• Delivery experience preferred.
• Ability to relate well to older people.
