Position Overview:
We are seeking a dependable and highly accountable Site Work Supervisor to lead daily field operations. This individual is responsible for managing job site production, crew performance, safety, equipment oversight, and daily reporting.
This is a leadership role first. The right candidate will take ownership of the site as if it were their own, ensuring projects are executed efficiently, safely, and professionally. Heavy equipment operation is required as part of the role when necessary.
Key Responsibilities:Site Leadership & Accountability
- Serve as the on-site lead and decision maker.
- Oversee crew members and coordinate trucking and subcontractors.
- Maintain daily production goals and keep projects on schedule.
- Identify and solve field issues before they become problems.
- Ensure the job site is clean, organized, and secure at the end of each day.
- Communicate clearly with management regarding progress, delays, or concerns.
Production & Field Execution:
- Operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently as needed.
- Ensure all work meets company quality standards.
- Verify layout, grades, elevations, and scope alignment before execution.
- Maintain workflow efficiency and eliminate downtime.
Documentation & Reporting:
- Complete detailed daily job logs.
- Capture progress photos throughout the day.
- Submit end-of-day reports outlining:
- Work completed
- Manpower on site
- Equipment used
- Material deliveries
- Issues or delays
Equipment Oversight:
- Monitor equipment usage and condition.
- Ensure preventative maintenance is performed (filters, grease, fluids, etc.).
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs.
- Report mechanical issues immediately to avoid downtime.
Safety & Compliance:
- Enforce all safety protocols and job site standards.
- Conduct daily site safety awareness.
- Ensure proper PPE and safe operation practices are followed at all times.
Ideal Candidate:
- Strong field experience in site work and excavation.
- Capable heavy equipment operator.
- Natural leader with strong communication skills.
- Organized and disciplined with paperwork and documentation.
- Takes pride in clean, professional job sites.
- Understands productivity and cost awareness.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in site work, excavation, grading, or utilities.
- Proven ability to operate heavy equipment (excavator, loader, skid steer, etc.).
- Prior experience leading a crew or acting as on-site lead.
- Ability to read and interpret site plans, elevations, and grades.
- Strong understanding of site sequencing, drainage, compaction, and safety.
- Basic equipment maintenance knowledge.
- Organized and comfortable completing daily reports and photo documentation.
- Valid driver’s license
- OSHA 10 required
- CDL Preferred
- Hoisting licence required
- Dump truck and trailer driving experience
