Systems Administrator
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide desktop and systems support for developers and researchers
- Serve as the first point of contact for technical support issues
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and support software and services
- Support Linux, Unix, Windows, and macOS operating systems
- Configure and maintain administrator and service accounts
- Apply security baselines and maintain compliance settings
- Support hardware and software lifecycle management
- Perform system performance tuning and monitoring
- Recommend hardware and software solutions to support technical teams
- Automate repetitive tasks using scripting and configuration management tools
- Support virtualization technologies and cloud-based environments
- Collaborate with network engineers, developers, and IT security teams
- Support offline and classified systems and networks
- Maintain technical documentation and operational procedures
- Support deployment, backup recovery, and infrastructure upgrades
- Interact with vendors and internal technical teams to resolve issues

- Linux, Windows, and macOS Administration
- Systems Administration and Infrastructure Support
- DevOps and DevSecOps Environments
- Virtualization Technologies (VMware ESXi, VCenter)
- Ansible, Docker, AWS, CloudFormation, YAML
- Scripting Languages (Python, Perl, Shell, PowerShell)
- Configuration Management and Automation
- DNS, DHCP, Proxy, and Load Balancing Technologies
- Development Tools (GitHub, Jenkins, Maven, JIRA, Puppet)
- Security Compliance and System Hardening
- Experience with embedded development toolchains and Linux development environments
- Experience with AWS services including EC2 and S3
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipeline tools such as Jenkins and GitHub Actions
- Experience supporting classified systems and environments
- Familiarity with Active Directory, LDAP, SCCM, and enterprise monitoring tools
- Experience with database systems such as Oracle, SQL Server, or PostgreSQL
- Knowledge of DoD security requirements including CMMC, RMF, and STIGs
- Experience with Apache administration and centralized logging systems
- Experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Rust, or Go
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 8+ years of experience supporting Linux, Mac, and Windows operating systems
- 5+ years of DevOps and container management experience
