The team behind Molinari’s is looking for a passionate and experienced Head Chef for Zocca Cucina Italiana , our new concept in Dedham Square. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume upscale casual environment, a dedicated professional able to lead a team with culinary professionalism and enthusiasm fitting one of Boston’s established concepts.

What you will do:

• First and foremost, manage all aspects of the kitchen operations. Working closely to ensure that the full scope of the culinary program is executed to the standards set.
• Supervise the kitchen staff; delegating tasks, providing guidance as needed, and ensuring efficiency.
• Manage and control inventory on a daily, weekly and monthly schedule.
• Build on fostering a professional, collaborative environment. Working alongside the management team for continuous improvement to execute top level hospitality.

Who we are looking for:

• 3+ years kitchen experience, with previous experience as a Sous a plus
• Knowledge of Italian cuisine always a plus
• Ability to retain composure and decorum in high-pressure circumstances
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills, ability to follow instruction and take initiative where needed

Detail of Responsibilities (included but not limited to):

• Implement & maintain the standards instilled throughout the concepts
• Oversee and instill the maintenance/continuity of food safety management in adherence with health dept requirements
• Active role in QC and eye on integrity for all plated items that leave the kitchen
• Train and supervise the BOH team, as well as motivate them to succeed
• Participate in effective and respectful communication with all levels of management and FOH team, continuously demonstrating a positive and welcoming environment
• This is a hands on chef position
