- Teamwork and sportsmanship (encouragement, respectful competition, collaboration)
- Mind-body wellness connections (breathing, focus, simple stress-management movement routines)
- Injury prevention basics (form cues, safe space awareness, pacing and rest)
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver a 10-session fitness course with clear objectives and structured lesson plans
- Maintain safety-first routines, including appropriate warm-ups, cool-downs, and clear movement expectations
- Differentiate activities to support varied fitness levels, confidence, and mobility needs
- Establish positive group management and inclusive participation norms
- Communicate professionally with site staff and Concorde program contacts regarding attendance and session completion tracking
- Adapt pacing and activities based on space, equipment availability, and student readiness while maintaining intended outcomes
Qualifications (Required)
- Minimum of 60 college credits (or Associate degree in progress/completed)
- Experience leading group fitness, physical activity programming, coaching, or youth wellness activities
- Experience working with school-age students in structured settings (school, after-school, camps, youth programs)
- Strong facilitation skills, clear communication, and comfort managing active groups safely
