Project Manager

Akkodis is seeking a Project Manager for a Contract with a client in North Quincy, MA. The ideal candidate brings deep mainframe proficiency and the ability to perform technical code reviews as a core qualification.

Rate Range: $37/hour to $45/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Project Manager job responsibilities include:

• Lead and deliver end‑to‑end mainframe projects including requirements, design, development oversight, testing, cutover, and hypercare.

• Perform technical code reviews and provide guidance across PL/I, COBOL, DB2, JCL, SQL, and batch/online CICS processes.

• Manage RAID logs, budgets, governance reporting, and project tracking using Clarity, JIRA, and Confluence.

• Coordinate UAT execution, production readiness, and ensure stable post‑go‑live performance through strong issue resolution and optimization.

• Ensure alignment with risk, compliance, and audit requirements by maintaining robust documentation and auditable change controls.

• Collaborate cross‑functionally with Operations, Technology, Product, and Compliance teams to resolve dependencies and drive process improvements.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.

• 7–10 years of IT project management experience, including at least 5 years in banking or custody/asset‑servicing environments.

• Proven hands‑on expertise in mainframe technologies (PL/I, COBOL, DB2, JCL) with ability to review and develop code.

• Demonstrated success delivering complex, multi‑stakeholder programs such as system migrations, regulatory implementations, or client transitions.

Pay Details: $37.00 to $45.00 per hour
