Dermatologist — Outpatient Practice

About the Opportunity

A growing outpatient medical practice is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Dermatologist to join its established multi-specialty team. This opportunity allows you to serve an existing patient base with immediate dermatology needs while also building and expanding a dermatology subspecialty within a supportive clinical environment.

This position is ideal for a dermatologist seeking a long-term career home with the entrepreneurial freedom to develop a thriving service line. You will have access to a steady stream of internal referrals, strong administrative support, and resources to attract new patients from the surrounding community.

Position Details

Practice Scope & Patient Care

The role includes providing comprehensive medical dermatology services with optional expansion into cosmetic dermatology. You will evaluate and treat general dermatologic conditions, perform skin cancer screenings, biopsies, excisions, cryotherapy, and other standard outpatient procedures.

You will initially care for existing patients referred from the internal primary care team, with opportunities to grow your patient panel externally as well. The patient population skews toward middle-aged adults and includes a mix of commercial insurance and Medicare.

Practice Development Opportunity

This position provides autonomy to shape and grow a dermatology service within an existing medical practice. You may influence treatment protocols, service offerings, and strategic growth plans. Internal referrals will provide immediate volume, and marketing support can help establish the dermatology service as a regional resource.

Work Schedule & Life Balance

Flexible scheduling options are available, including:
• Four clinical days plus one administrative day
• 4.5 clinical days with a half administrative day
• Monday–Friday, standard daytime hours

There are no weekends, no hospital rounds, and no on-call responsibilities.

Work Environment & Support

You will work in a modern, well-equipped outpatient setting with designated dermatology space. Nursing staff support includes triage, prior authorizations, and care coordination, allowing you to focus on patient care. The practice invests in marketing efforts and operational support to help grow your dermatology panel.

Technology & Equipment

The practice uses a modern electronic medical record system, integrated e-prescribing, patient portal communication tools, AI-powered documentation support, and medical dictation technology to reduce administrative burden.
Investment in dermatology-specific tools—such as dermatoscopes, procedural equipment, and cosmetic devices—is available based on clinical needs and growth goals.

Referral Network

In addition to internal primary care referrals, the practice maintains relationships with surrounding medical groups to support incoming and outgoing referrals for specialized dermatologic or non-dermatologic care.

Compensation & Benefits

Compensation Structure

• Competitive base salary
• Annual productivity bonuses based on collections
• Sign-on bonus (first year)
• Relocation assistance available

Student Loan Support

Student loan repayment assistance is available to help reduce educational debt.

Insurance Benefits

• Health insurance allowance
• Dental and vision coverage
• Malpractice insurance with tail coverage

Retirement & Time Off

• 401(k) with employer match
• Generous PTO
• Paid holidays
• Annual CME allowance

Location & Flexibility

The primary work location is within a suburban outpatient clinic setting in a high-demand area for dermatology services. The surrounding communities feature strong demographics for both medical and cosmetic dermatology, plus access to family-friendly neighborhoods, schools, and recreational activities.

Satellite clinic options or additional locations may be considered as the dermatology service grows.

Ideal Candidate

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Dermatology
• Active medical license or eligibility for licensure
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Interest in both medical and cosmetic dermatology (optional)
• Entrepreneurial mindset for building a service line
• Commitment to long-term practice growth
• Collaborative approach with primary care colleagues
• Dedication to delivering high-quality patient care

This role is well suited for a dermatologist seeking stability, autonomy, and the opportunity to build a lasting career within a supportive multi-provider environment.

Why Join This Practice?

• Opportunity to build a dermatology service line with full administrative and clinical support
• Immediate patient volume from internal referrals
• Modern technology and strong nursing support reduce administrative burden
• Marketing resources available to grow your patient base
• Stable, established outpatient practice environment
• Supportive team culture and long-term growth potential
