Kronos Health is looking for a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to support our mission of delivering high-quality, value-based primary care. In this full-time role, you will provide direct clinical support to our providers while also offering reception cross-coverage when needed. This position is perfect for someone who thrives in a team-based environment and wants to contribute meaningfully to both patient care and clinic operations. The hours would be Monday-Friday, 9AM-5:30PM.

Position Overview

As a Medical Assistant , you’ll play an essential role in preparing patients for visits, supporting clinical procedures, and ensuring accurate documentation in our Athena EMR system. You will also cross-cover reception duties to support the front desk during staff breaks, absences, or peak times. This is a hands-on, dynamic role where every day brings an opportunity to make a difference.

Key Responsibilities

Primary Role – Clinical Support

• Take and record vital signs (BP, temperature, pulse, weight, etc.).
• Assist providers with patient history intake, medication review, and documentation.
• Conduct point-of-care tests (e.g., rapid strep, RSV, pregnancy tests).
• Administer immunizations and assist with sample collection for labs.
• Coordinate diagnostic testing and specialist referrals.
• Maintain patient charts and records in Athena EMR.

Reception Cross-Coverage

• Greet and check in patients in a professional and friendly manner.
• Answer and route incoming phone calls; respond to patient inquiries.
• Schedule appointments and follow-ups as needed.
• Ensure the waiting room remains tidy and welcoming.
• Monitor and support patient flow during peak periods.

Administrative & Operational Support

• Support clinicians with scanning, filing, and preparing forms.
• Maintain and restock medical supplies and exam room materials.
• Record vaccine refrigerator temperatures and follow protocols.
• Sterilize and prep equipment per clinical guidelines.

What We’re Looking For

• Prior experience as a Medical Assistant in a primary care or family medicine setting.
• Comfort with electronic medical records (Athena EMR preferred).
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Flexibility to provide front desk coverage as needed.
• A proactive, team-oriented mindset and a passion for patient-centered care.
• Bilingual in Spanish strongly preferred to better serve our diverse patient population.
