Accts Receivable Receptionist

Primary Responsibilities:
- Records accounts receivable transactions using data entry terminal to operate A/R software.
- Sorts documents to be posted, such as checks, debit, and credit items.
- Verifies totals, net amounts, and other computations. Verifies entries and summarizes and balances totals to insure accuracy.
- Prepares periodic trial balances and other statistical information as required.
- Directs, assigns, and monitors account receivable duties and related functions performed by subordinate personnel.
- Responsible for the monthly mailing of A/C's receivable statements.
- Banking responsibilities are also part of the receivables position such as deposits, posting on accounts, picking up coins and balancing.
Requirements (Minimum acceptable and/or preferred):
Education: High School Diploma
Specific Skills:
- Excellent math and analytic skills with a strong systems orientation
- Strong computer skills
- Maintain all receivable records numerically, alphabetically, and/or chronologically in a practical and efficient manner.
- File each credit or adjustment with its respective invoice or related record.
- Check the accuracy of invoices, credits, and/or adjustments against the amount of payments received.
- Responsible for insuring the posting and crediting of all receivables.
- Responsible for checking the accuracy of all check payments received.
- May perform accounts payable functions when accounts payable clerk is absent.
- Insure and require conformance with company safety policies, procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Perform other related duties as may be required by management.

While performing the duties of this job, the intern is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to feel and reach with hands and arms. The intern is occasionally required to stand, sit and walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
