With one of the best skyline views in Boston, Foxglove Terrace is built around execution, elevated techniques, and a classic good time. Under the leadership of General Manager Will Isaza, the program will blend craftsmanship and vibe—designed for nightlife energy while maintaining serious standards.

Expect nightlife events, bar pop-ups, and a day-to-day mix of locals, industry friends, and international travelers from the Atlas Hotel above.

Position Summary

The position delivers an elevated, cocktail-driven guest experience through precise execution, strong product knowledge, and warm, attentive hospitality. This role prepares cocktails, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages according to Foxglove standards while maintaining a clean, organized, and polished bar environment.

This is a nightlife-driven room. Bartenders are expected to move with speed and accuracy without sacrificing standards—controlling pace, managing volume, and staying composed when it’s busy.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Drink Execution & Beverage Knowledge
  • Prepare cocktails with precision, consistency, and speed according to established specs
  • Maintain strong knowledge of spirits, cocktail components, beer, wine, and NA options
  • Follow batching, juicing, garnish, and mise en place procedures
  • Ensure all beverages meet standards for flavor, balance, technique, and presentation
• Guest Service & Hospitality
  • Greet and serve guests with warmth and professionalism
  • Offer thoughtful recommendations and menu guidance
  • Pace beverage service appropriately for guest flow and nightlife energy
  • Resolve guest concerns with care, urgency, and professionalism
• Support for Venue Service
  • Execute beverage orders quickly and accurately for the full venue
  • Communicate clearly with servers, hosts, and barbacks regarding timing and modifications
  • Maintain POS accuracy and follow cash-handling procedures
• Cleanliness & Organization
  • Maintain a clean, organized, fully stocked bar throughout the shift
  • Complete opening, mid-shift, and closing procedures thoroughly
  • Clean and sanitize tools, glassware, equipment, and high-touch surfaces
  • Store bottles, juices, garnishes, and tools properly and safely
• Inventory & Stock
  • Maintain par levels of juice, syrups, garnishes, glassware, tools, and spirits
  • Communicate low stock/86’d items to the Bar Lead or Manager
  • Assist with inventory counts and organization of bar and storage areas
• Teamwork & Collaboration
  • Support fellow bartenders, servers, and barbacks throughout service
  • Attend pre-shifts, tastings, trainings, and programming as scheduled
  • Uphold a positive, respectful, high-energy back-of-bar culture
• Physical Requirements
  • Stand for extended periods (8–10 hours)
  • Lift and carry up to 40 lbs., including cases and bar equipment
  • Move quickly and safely in a fast-paced environment
  • Work nights, weekends, and holidays as required (including nightlife events)
    

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–2 years bartending experience in a craft-cocktail or high-volume setting
• Strong understanding of cocktail technique, spirits, wine, and beer
• Ability to multitask under pressure while maintaining high standards
• Excellent communication and guest engagement skills
• Interest in growth within nightlife, cocktail execution, and hospitality leadership
• Alignment with Pearl & Law Hospitality values: equity, community, sustainability, intention

Compensation & Benefits

Hourly Rate:

This is a tipped, non-exempt position compensated in accordance with Massachusetts wage and tip laws. Hourly base pay plus tips will meet or exceed all applicable minimum wage requirements. Paid biweekly in accordance with the established payroll schedule.

Paid Time Off

Eligible team members accrue earned sick time in accordance with Massachusetts Earned Sick Time law (up to 40 hours per year).
