Site Estimator Requirements & Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in construction
- Prior expertise in site estimation for rebuild or restoration projects
- Demonstrated experience obtaining permits and working with local authorities
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Professional communication and customer-facing confidence
- Ability to work independently in both office and field settings
- Proficiency with DocuSketch and Xactimate
Site Estimator Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Serve as the first on-site responder for restoration and rebuild projects
- Perform site evaluations and develop initial scopes of work
- Support estimating efforts for reconstruction projects
- Secure permits and manage permitting processes with local municipalities
- Liaise with permitting offices, auditors, and inspectors to ensure compliance
- Coordinate and meet subcontractors at job sites
- Maintain accurate project documentation and clear internal communication
- Represent the organization with professionalism to clients, vendors, and partners
