CMM/Metrology Quality Inspector (FARO • Keyence)

What you’ll do

• Perform detailed mechanical and visual inspections of parts, components, and assemblies.
• Run advanced inspection platforms: CMM systems, FARO Arm, and Keyence Wide Area CMM, plus micrometers, height stands, optical comparators, thread/plug gauges, gauge blocks, and plating thickness gauges.
• Conduct final product and assembly inspections, first-piece checks, and receiving inspections for vendor-supplied materials against purchase orders.
• Create formal inspection documentation and clear, traceable reports that meet company standards.
• Identify non-conformances, alert production/assembly teams, and verify corrective actions are implemented.
• Monitor trends, flag risks, and recommend corrective actions or process improvements.
• Suggest upgrades or method changes to improve precision and throughput.
• Interface with customer and government representatives.
• Keep the work area organized, safe, and audit-ready; perform other duties as assigned.

• Confident, independent CMM operation and setup.
• On-time, high-quality inspection reporting and communication.
• Proactive issue identification and collaborative resolution.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree or equivalent technical school training.
• Minimum 5 years’ inspection experience; strong knowledge of GD&T.
• Demonstrated ability to operate Coordinate Measuring Machines.
• Detail-focused with excellent organization and analytical skills.
• Capable of juggling multiple assignments and taking initiative.
• Strong team player and communicator.
