Responsibilities
- Assess, reassess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for ICU patients, coordinating with the interdisciplinary team to achieve patient goals.
- Administer medications and IV therapies per orders and protocols; monitor for adverse effects and titrate therapies as needed.
- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, ABGs, pH and gas exchange indicators; manage ventilated patients, including suctioning, troubleshooting, and weaning as appropriate.
- Document thoroughly and promptly; communicate patient status during rounds and handoffs; support discharge planning and patient/family teaching.
- Contribute to patient safety and quality initiatives, including infection prevention measures and adherence to care bundles; identify safety risks and escalate as needed.
- Provide supervision and mentorship as appropriate, supporting colleagues and participating in ongoing professional development.

Requirements
- Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Licensure: Current Massachusetts Registered Nurse license
- Certifications: ACLS required upon hire or must hold active BLS with ACLS to be obtained within 60 days of hire; CCRN preferred
- Experience: Minimum 1 year med-surge experience preferred; telemetry experience and ICU experience preferred
- Additional: MOAB class required within 60 days of hire
