About CHA PACE
Cambridge Health Alliance's Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) is a nationally recognized model of care that serves adults aged 55 and older living with chronic medical and/or mental health challenges.
At CHA PACE, our mission is to support our program participants in achieving the highest level of independence within their communities and preventing nursing home placement. Our high-functioning interdisciplinary team supports this goal by providing fully integrated medical and behavioral health services, community resources, and home-based care in a collaborative and supportive environment.
Position Overview
The Program Director, PACE Quality & Safety plays a critical leadership role in ensuring the delivery of safe, timely, effective, and patient-centered care within CHA’s PACE program. Reporting jointly to the Associate Chief Quality & Patient Safety Officer and the Executive Director of CHA PACE, this individual will spearhead quality improvement initiatives, compliance oversight, and regulatory readiness across the program.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced healthcare professional to drive strategic improvements in care quality, regulatory compliance, and participant satisfaction—while working collaboratively with senior leadership, interdisciplinary care teams, and external partners.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead the design, implementation, and oversight of quality improvement (QI) and compliance programs specific to PACE, CMS, MassHealth, and Medicare requirements.
• Develop and maintain quality and compliance dashboards, tracking tools, and reporting systems.
• Act as a key liaison with regulatory bodies and oversee preparation for audits and site visits.
• Guide the development and revision of policies and procedures to meet evolving regulatory standards.
• Direct the investigation, documentation, and follow-up for sentinel events, service delivery requests (SDRs), grievances, appeals, and enrollment denials.
• Lead root cause analyses and performance improvement plans.
• Educate and support staff on quality improvement methodologies and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with CHA’s enterprise-wide Quality and Patient Safety team to align PACE initiatives with organizational goals.
• Facilitate key meetings, including Quality Improvement, Compliance, and Participant Advisory Council meetings.
• Provide actionable data analysis, trend identification, and evidence-based recommendations.
• Serve in the Administrator On-Call rotation for non-clinical after-hours issues.
Qualifications
Education & Training:
• Bachelor’s degree in a healthcare-related field; equivalent experience accepted in lieu of a degree.
• Master’s degree preferred. Clinical degree in a PACE-relevant discipline highly desirable.
Work Experience:
• 10 years of experience in healthcare, with at least 5 years in a PACE or managed care environment
• Demonstrated experience with regulatory compliance and quality improvement in healthcare settings
• Familiarity with CMS, Medicare, MassHealth, and PACE regulations
• Experience leading or collaborating on EMR (Epic preferred) functionality for data collection and reporting
• Working knowledge of data analysis, reporting tools, and statistical methodologies
