This role focuses on assembling neurosurgical sponges in a clean room environment using a thread and sewing needle. You will perform highly repetitive, detail-oriented work that directly supports the production of medical devices. Responsibilities
  • Assemble neurosurgical sponges in a clean room using a thread and sewing needle according to established procedures.
  • Follow detailed work instructions and standard operating procedures to ensure consistent product quality.
  • Perform repetitive assembly tasks with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Use basic hand tools safely and correctly during the assembly process.
  • Handle medical device components carefully to maintain cleanliness and integrity.
  • Inspect assembled products visually to identify and report any defects or inconsistencies.
  • Maintain organization and cleanliness at the workstation in accordance with clean room protocols.
  • Meet daily production goals while maintaining high quality standards.
  • Document work as required and follow all production and clean room guidelines.
  • Collaborate with team members and communicate any issues or concerns to support smooth production flow.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Familiarity with general production or assembly environments.
  • Experience using basic hand tools in a production or assembly setting.
  • Prior exposure to working with sewing needles, thread, or similar fine assembly tasks.

Work Environment

This position is based in a clean room medical device manufacturing environment. You will work on the first shift, Monday through Friday, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The role involves standing or sitting at a workstation to perform repetitive assembly tasks using sewing needles, thread, and basic hand tools. The clean room setting requires adherence to strict cleanliness and procedural standards, including specific gowning and attire appropriate for controlled environments. The facility operates in a structured, process-driven manner with clear work instructions and production goals.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Middleton, Massachusetts 01949.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
