We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented co-op/intern to join our team focused on neurodegenerative disease research. This role involves working with in vitro and in vivo models to explore the complex interactions between neurons and glial cells. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in molecular biology techniques, data analysis, and a passion for advancing our understanding of mechanisms in disease.

Main Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain in vitro cultures and co-culture systems involving neurons and glial cells.

• Apply a range of molecular biology and biochemical techniques, including:

- Live-cell imaging and microscopy

- Multiplex immunoassays (e.g., MSD, NULISA)

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to generate and interpret data

• Present experimental findings in internal meetings and contribute to scientific discussions.

• Maintain accurate and organized records of experiments and data analyses.

• Communicate effectively with team members and project leads.

About You

Must be permanently authorized to work in the U.S. and not require sponsorship of an employment visa (e.g., H-1B or green card) at the time of application or in the future. Students currently on CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT usually require future sponsorship for long term employment and do not meet the requirements for this program unless eligible for an alternative long-term status that does not require company sponsorship

Basic Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled and pursuing bachelor’s or master's degree in biology, biochemistry, or neuroscience or related field at an accredited college or university with the expectation that you will complete your current degree by the Spring of 2027

• Must be able to relocate to the office location and work 40hrs/week, Monday-Friday, for the full duration of the co-op/internship

Preferred Qualifications:

• Laboratory experience in cell culture, molecular biology techniques, in vivo experience.

• Familiarity with data analysis and bioinformatics tools is a plus.

• Strong organizational and communication skills.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced research environment.

• A proactive and curious mindset with a strong desire to learn and contribute.
