Project & Program Manager - IT Optimization

A leading investment firm is seeking an IT Program Manager to lead complex infrastructure and technology initiatives across the organization. This role sits at the intersection of project leadership and technical execution; coordinating engineers, vendors, and internal stakeholders to deliver high-impact technology programs ranging from office buildouts and networking initiatives to enterprise systems implementations.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of major IT and infrastructure initiatives, including office expansions, data center deployments, networking projects, and internal technology rollouts
• Develop clear project plans including charters, milestones, timelines, risk assessments, and success metrics
• Coordinate cross-functional teams across Technology, Engineering, Operations, Finance, Legal, and external vendors to ensure projects stay on track
• Translate technical constraints, dependencies, and risks into clear execution plans and executive-level updates
• Run structured sprint planning, daily standups, and stakeholder meetings to maintain project momentum and alignment
• Partner closely with engineering teams to clarify requirements and define realistic timelines for technical workstreams
• Maintain project documentation and task tracking using Jira, Confluence, or similar project management tools
• Build standardized project templates and reporting dashboards to improve transparency and execution discipline across IT initiatives
• Manage vendor relationships including contracts, renewals, invoicing, and performance tracking
• Help improve internal IT workflows including documentation, onboarding/offboarding processes, and operational procedures
• Track key metrics around project throughput, resource allocation, and completion rates to support continuous improvement
• Support coordination across help desk, systems, and cybersecurity teams while helping junior team members structure projects and milestones

Preferred / nice-to-haves

• Experience in IT project or program management
• Experience leading infrastructure-focused initiatives such as office buildouts, networking projects, cloud environments, or data centers
• Strong familiarity with enterprise IT environments including networking, identity systems, and cloud platforms
• Experience working with Jira, Confluence, or similar project management tools
• Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent initiatives and drive accountability across technical teams
• Experience coordinating with third-party vendors and technology service providers
• ScrumMaster, ITIL, or similar certifications are a plus
• Highly organized with strong written and verbal communication skills
