Senior Coordinator, Audit - Revenue Cycle Management
What Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) contributes to Cardinal Health
Revenue Cycle Management manages a team focused on a series of clinical and administrative processes that healthcare providers utilize to capture, bill, and collect patient service revenue. The revenue cycle shadows the entire patient care journey and begins with patient appointment scheduling and ends when the patient’s account balance is zero. ResponsibilitiesGather, review, and organize documentation required for internal and external audit requests
Prepare and submit initial audit responses in accordance with standard procedures
Maintain accurate, complete, and well-organized audit files for tracking and compliance purposes
Support auditors and revenue cycle teams with routine audit-related tasks
Track audit requests, deadlines, and follow-up actions to ensure timely completion
Ensure all activities align with revenue integrity standards and compliance requirements
Escalate discrepancies, missing information, or potential risks to senior team members
Assist in maintaining audit logs, reports, and supporting documentation
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field preferred
1-2 years of experience in healthcare, revenue cycle, billing, or administrative support preferred
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Basic understanding of healthcare revenue cycle processes preferred
Ability to follow established procedures and work under supervision
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Willingness to learn audit processes, payer guidelines, and compliance standards
Exposure to audit processes or compliance functions is a plus

Anticipated hourly range: $16.75 per hour - $21.75 per hour
