Burn Unit RN Job Details

• Location: Englewood, CO 80113 (Denver metro area)
• Healthcare Setting: Outpatient Burn Clinic, Third Floor, Suite 310
• Employment Type: Locum tenens / Travel nursing contract
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 8/11/2025 – End: 11/10/2025)
• Shifts: 12-hour days, Monday–Friday (07:00–19:00)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1570–$1610
• Open Positions: 2 Registered Nurse jobs available
• Patient Ratio: Variable, high-volume clinic (similar to Emergency Department)
• EMR: Meditech and paper charting

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Colorado or compact state
• BLS certification (required)
• Minimum 1 year of recent RN experience (burn unit, wound care, or clinical support preferred)
• Experience with wound care, dressing changes, and orthopedic procedures preferred
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to excel in a fast-paced healthcare environment

Burn Unit RN Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients with burn, hand, and reconstructive injuries
• Perform wound care, dressing changes, suture and staple removal, and VAC placement/takedown
• Conduct urgent care triage and patient assessments
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team of RNs and clinical support staff
• Maintain accurate patient documentation using Meditech and paper records
• Operate equipment such as hoyer lifts and c-arms as needed
