Bookkeeper & Payroll Support Specialist
Location: Mansfield, MA (Hybrid/Flexible)
Job Type: Part-Time (20 hours per week)
Compensation: $31–$35/hour, depending on experience

As the firm continues to grow, we're seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper & Payroll Support Specialist who enjoys variety, values accuracy, and wants to work directly alongside an experienced CPA supporting clients across multiple industries.
Position SummaryThe Bookkeeper & Payroll Support Specialist will manage day-to-day bookkeeping and payroll functions for a portfolio of small business clients. This individual will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, processing payroll, preparing financial reports, and delivering exceptional client service. Key ResponsibilitiesManage bookkeeping for multiple small business clients
Process payroll accurately and on schedule
Reconcile bank accounts and credit card statements
Record journal entries and maintain general ledger accounts
Assist with month-end close activities
Prepare and review financial reports
Support Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) functions
Maintain organized client files and financial documentation
Assist with payroll tax filings and related reporting
Communicate with clients regarding bookkeeping requests and payroll questions
Partner closely with the CPA to deliver exceptional client service
3+ years of bookkeeping and payroll experience
Experience managing multiple clients or multiple sets of books
Proficiency with QuickBooks Online (required)
Payroll processing experience (ADP or similar payroll platform preferred)
Strong understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
Experience working for a CPA firm or public accounting firm
Experience supporting small business clients across multiple industries
Experience with cloud-based accounting systems and document management platforms
