Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Job Overview:

Addison Group is seeking a Self-Pay/Collections Specialist to support a growing healthcare organization. This role is ideal for candidates with strong medical billing experience, particularly in hospital billing and self-pay collections. You’ll lead efforts to resolve patient balances, manage early-out claims, and ensure accurate documentation across multiple systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Answer inbound calls from patients and resolve billing inquiries professionally and ethically
• Make outbound calls to patients with outstanding balances and assist in resolution
• Navigate multiple client systems (Epic, Meditech, Athena preferred) to update and notate accounts
• Track follow-ups including insurance coordination and payment plans
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA and client-specific documentation standards
• Collaborate with team members to deliver exceptional patient service
• Report issues or concerns to supervisor promptly for resolution
• Understand and implement company and client policies and procedures

Qualifications:

• Education: High School Diploma required
  • Experience: Strong background in medical billing and denial management
  • Experience with hospital billing and self-pay collections
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in at least two of the following systems: Epic, Meditech, Athena
• Certifications: None required
• Soft Skills: Excellent time management, multitasking, and communication skills
