We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to join our team in Bedford, Massachusetts. In this long-term contract role, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing core accounting functions, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and collaborating across departments on accounting matters. Responsibilities:
• Manage general ledger activities, including preparing and reviewing journal entries and leading the month-end close process.
• Conduct and oversee account reconciliations to ensure all financial data is accurate and complete.
• Supervise banking operations, including cash reporting and bank reconciliations.
• Provide leadership and guidance to one staff accountant, ensuring their work aligns with organizational goals.
• Ensure adherence to internal controls, company policies, and accounting standards.
• Support audit processes by gathering and organizing necessary documentation.
• Utilize NetSuite to maintain and manage financial systems effectively.
• Leverage advanced Microsoft Excel skills, such as pivot tables and lookups, to analyze and report financial data.
• Proven experience in accounting roles, with a focus on month-end close and general ledger management.• Strong knowledge of account reconciliations and journal entries.
• Proficiency in NetSuite or similar financial management systems.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel capabilities, including pivot tables and data analysis.
• Familiarity with financial statement audits and related documentation.
• Ability to manage banking activities, including cash reporting and reconciliations.
• Previous experience supervising or mentoring accounting staff.
• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment.
