SEAS Leisure Program Inclusion Counselor
Seasonal (SEAS) Position
Job Summary:The Leisure Program Inclusion Counselor will ensure the safe and efficient operation of their assigned group of individuals or individual. They will utilize their experience working with individuals with special needs to assist in appropriate behavior in social settings, recreational activities, basic care, and skill development.Qualifications:- Must be at least 18 years old.- High school diploma or equivalent experience required.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Knowledge and ability to lead, teach, and supervise participants in various activities.Additional Qualifications:- Demonstrated knowledge of summer program planning.
- Flexibility and creativity in adapting to individual needs of participants.
- Strong character, integrity, and adaptability.
- Enthusiasm, sense of humor, patience, and self-control.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with individuals of diverse age groups, educational backgrounds, and abilities.
- Awareness of legal issues such as abuse, sexual harassment, and risk management.
- Ability to assess complex situations under pressure and respond professionally and appropriately.Availability Requirement:
Must be available for orientation from June 23- June 26, 2026. The Leisure Program operates from June 29th to August 14th, 2026, with staff hours primarily on Monday to Friday from 7:45 AM to 4:45 PM.
$18.00 hourly, no benefits
