Job Title: Cardiology Diagnostic Tech III

Location: Hyannis, MA

Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and patient-focused Diagnostic Technician III to provide high-quality patient care through specimen collection and non-invasive cardiac testing. The ideal candidate will have strong phlebotomy and EKG experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced healthcare environment, including Emergency Room settings.

Responsibilities:

• Collect blood and clinical specimens and transport them to the laboratory
• Properly identify patients and explain specimen collection procedures
• Perform non-invasive cardiology testing including EKGs, Holter Monitor setup, and Stress Tests
• Complete laboratory forms and documentation accurately
• Research unusual test requests using available resources and specimen manuals
• Document patient and testing information within hospital systems
• Complete cardiac testing orders and billing documentation
• Communicate workflow updates and technical issues with staff and supervisors
• Follow PPE, infection control, and hospital safety standards
• Assist nursing units with specimen collection and testing needs
• Train and mentor new staff members and clinical students
• Support quality assurance and process improvement initiatives
• Maintain clean and organized testing/work areas
• Monitor inventory and report supply concerns
• Participate in training, meetings, and professional development activities
• Deliver exceptional customer service to patients and staff

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English required
• Phlebotomy Certification (PBT) required
• EKG Certification required
• Current BLS Certification required
