Senior Accountant
Kforce's client, a growing retail conglomerate located west of Boston, is in search of a Senior Accountant for their Rotational Program. This position offers the opportunity to be exposed to various Accounting area on a rotational basis. Some of the areas include financial reporting, G/L accounting, financial systems, operational accounting and fixed assets. Responsibilities:
- Prepare journal entries
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts
- Analyze and document financial results
- Assist with the year-end audit and interim audit procedures
- Analyze fixed asset registers for data integrity
- Assist with monthly PP&E and capex reporting
- Manage tickets submitted by business partners for financial system issues/enhancements
- Maintain process documentation
- Assist with monthly close process
- Collaborate with non-finance departments/cross-functional teams
- Identify areas for improvement and assist with implementation, as appropriate
- Perform special projects and other duties as assigned by manager
- Bachelor's degree (Accounting preferred)
- CPA or Master's track applicants are preferred
- 2-3 years of accounting experience; Public accounting preferred
- Strong practical knowledge of MS Excel and other Microsoft applications
- Thorough understanding and application of U.S. GAAP or IFRS
- Experience with Oracle ERP and reporting tools
