About Us
APC Auto Body is a fast-growing collision repair shop focused on quality, efficiency, and doing repairs the right way . We’re looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Auto Body Prepper to join our team and help deliver top-tier results.
Responsibilities
- Sand, grind, and clean vehicle surfaces to prepare for paint and repairs
- Mask vehicles and apply primer/filler for proper refinishing
- Remove rust, debris, and old paint using proper techniques
- Assist with buffing and finishing to ensure high-quality results
- Support technicians and painters to keep workflow moving efficiently
- Assist with minor R&I (remove and install) including trim and components
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Qualifications
- Previous auto body shop or dealership experience preferred
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, and prep equipment
- Basic knowledge of sanding, masking, priming, and refinishing
- Strong attention to detail and work ethic
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Team-oriented with a positive attitude
- Ability to lift and handle vehicle parts safely
- Experience with buffing and polishing
- Familiarity with light bodywork
- Interest in growing into a painter or technician role
