Live-In Mentor & Community Support (Housing + Optional Paid Hours)

Position Overview

We are seeking a Live-In Mentor / Community Support person to join a supportive residential setting for six young adults with developmental disabilities who are living independently on Cape Cod.

This role is ideal for someone looking for affordable housing in exchange for overnight presence , with the option to earn additional income through flexible support hours.

Primary Role (Housing Exchange)

Your main responsibility is to be present overnight for emergency purposes and provide light structure to the household.

Reduced rent: $150/month

Household Overview

• Six adult residents living in two dwellings on the same property
• Residents are largely independent with active daily schedules (work, social, community activities)
• This is not a full-time caregiving role —focus is on presence, mentorship, and light support

Optional Paid Opportunities (Flexible)

In addition to the live-in role, there are optional paid hours available based on your interest and availability.

ADL Skill Support (Up to 7 hours/week per resident)

• Work 1:1 with residents on daily living skills
• Examples: organization, routines, independence, life skills

Community & Household Support

• Grocery shopping
• Meal prep support
• Transportation to activities or errands
• Encouraging social engagement

You may take on as many or as few hours as you’d like . All additional hours are paid separately.

Schedule Expectations

• Overnight presence required
• Light morning and/or evening check-ins 7:00-7:30am and 9:30-10:00pm
• Daytime hours are flexible and based on optional support work

Ideal Candidate

• Experience or interest in working with individuals with autism or intellectual disabilities
• Responsible, dependable, and calm in a home setting
• Comfortable with independent, flexible work
• Valid driver’s license preferred (for optional hours)
