Although KDI’s client base is diverse, we specialize in Multi-Family Residential, Hospitality, Retail, and Mixed-Use projects.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a self-motivated Job Captain with strong attention to detail and the ability to produce comprehensive construction documents, particularly for mixed-use and multi-family structures. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in drafting and proficiency in Autodesk REVIT software. A foundational understanding of podium and wood frame construction is required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Produce detailed construction document sets (CDs) for various projects.
• Collaborate effectively with project managers and the project team.
• Engage in design work as needed, based on skill level and project requirements.
• Coordinate with structural and MEP drawings, ensuring cohesive integration of building systems.
• Stay informed about local building codes, including accessibility and energy standards.

Qualifications:

• Professional architectural degree preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in producing construction documents.
• Proficiency in Autodesk REVIT (current version).
• Familiarity with additional design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp) is a plus.
• Strong understanding of building systems and construction methods.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and able to meet project deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of asking the right questions to clarify project needs.
• Ability to commute to our office in Somerville, MA.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
