Job Details:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Director of Quality to join our fast-paced manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in high-tech manufacturing, laser systems, optics, and multi-site operations. This role is pivotal in maintaining the high-quality standards of our products and services while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Responsibilities:

1. Develop and implement quality control systems and standards across all manufacturing sites.
2. Lead and manage the quality assurance team to ensure product quality and reliability.
3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish quality requirements from initial product design to final production.
4. Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
5. Analyze quality data and metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
6. Manage the investigation and resolution of customer complaints regarding quality.
7. Participate in the selection of suppliers and contractors based on quality considerations.
8. Stay abreast of industry trends, advancements in technology, and changes in regulations that may affect quality standards.
9. Provide training and support to the team members on quality control and continuous improvement techniques.
10. Participate in strategic planning and decision-making at the senior management level to align quality control plans with the company's objectives.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior quality assurance role in the manufacturing industry.
3. Proven experience with laser systems, optics, and high-tech manufacturing processes.
4. Experience managing multi-site quality operations and teams.
5. Knowledge of quality assurance methodologies and regulatory requirements in the manufacturing industry.
6. Strong leadership and team management skills.
7. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
8. Ability to communicate effectively with team members at all levels of the organization.
9. Proficient in using quality assurance software and other related tools.
10. Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) certification is a plus.
