Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to ensure all shop equipment is operational and running efficiently. The role involves coordinating with the Chief of Maintenance for planned maintenance and handling general maintenance tasks across vehicles, machinery, tools, and building systems.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all shop equipment is on-line and running properly.
• Coordinate with the Chief of Maintenance on planned maintenance of shop equipment, vehicles, building, and grounds.
• Perform general maintenance of vehicles, shop machinery, fabrication equipment, miscellaneous tools, building systems, and grounds.
• Coordinate and oversee maintenance and repairs performed by outside vendors under the direction of the Chief of Maintenance.
• Maintain an organized, clean, and safe workspace.

• 3+ years of industrial or commercial maintenance experience.
• Experience repairing industrial machinery, preferably from a metal fabrication shop.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance, facility maintenance, and maintenance repair.
• Experience with pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• General knowledge of carpentry, electrical, and plumbing.
• Ability to operate heavy equipment such as forklifts and skid steerers.

• Ability to troubleshoot machinery issues, including welding equipment, CNC related machinery, and crane systems.
• Willingness to perform general grounds and outside building maintenance.
• Experience as an auto-mechanic is beneficial.

Work Environment

The work environment includes an open shop setting, which can be hot in the summer and cold in the winter, with lots of loud machinery. The shift is Monday to Friday from 6am to 2:30pm, with some Saturdays from 6am to 12pm.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rowley, MA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
