Senior Manager, Business & Functional Training
We are seeking a Senior Manager of Business & Functional Training to lead the strategy, design, and execution of operations and functional training programs that enable business performance, ensure compliance, and accelerate new business launches. This role plays a critical leadership role in equipping our workforce with the skills, knowledge, and tools they need to succeed—through modern, innovative, and engaging learning experiences that drive measurable results. This role directly enables business performance, compliance, and successful growth. You will shape how our people learn, perform, and adapt to future demands and opportunities.
This role will oversee end-to-end training solutions across business operations, functional capabilities, compliance programs, and enterprise initiatives tied to new products, services, or business models. The Senior Manager will partner closely with senior leaders, functional stakeholders, compliance partners, and subject matter experts to ensure training is aligned with business priorities and operational realities.
Training Strategy & Leadership
- Define and lead the enterprise strategy for operations and functional training, ensuring alignment with business goals, compliance requirements, and growth initiatives
- Translate business and operational needs into scalable training solutions that improve performance and reduce risk
- Lead and develop a high-performing team of training professionals, including team leads, instructional designers, and coordinators
- Establish standards, governance, and best practices for training design, delivery, and evaluation
Operations & Functional Training
- Oversee the development and delivery of operations training programs that support operational excellence and role readiness
- Partner with functional leaders to build capability-based training that strengthens critical skills across the organization
- Ensure training solutions are practical, learner-centered, and designed for real-world application
- Partner with Legal, HR, Safety, and Compliance teams to ensure required training programs are accurate, timely, and auditable
New Business Launches
- Lead training strategy and execution for new business initiatives, product launches, and operational changes
- Ensure operation and functional teams are prepared at launch through clear learning paths, performance support, and reinforcement
- Coordinate cross-functional timelines to ensure training readiness aligns with go-live milestones
Learning Innovation & Measurement
- Champion modern learning approaches, including blended learning, digital, virtual, and performance-based solutions
- Leverage technology and data to improve access, consistency, and learner experience
- Define success metrics and measure training effectiveness, linking learning outcomes to business impact
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree or advanced certification in Learning, Organizational Development, or related field preferred
- 7+ years of progressive experience in training, learning & development, or talent development
- Demonstrated experience leading operations training, functional training, compliance programs, and large-scale business initiatives
- Proven ability to lead and develop teams and manage complex, cross-functional projects
- Strong business acumen with the ability to connect training strategy to operational and financial outcomes
- Experience implementing modern learning methodologies and learning technologies
- Excellent executive presence, communication, and stakeholder management skills
The estimated annual salary for this position ranges from $120,680 to $150,000. Actual compensation will vary based on factors including but not limited to the candidate’s skills, experience, and qualifications. Geographic differentials may also apply depending on the position’s location. There is no application deadline for this role; recruitment will remain open until the position is filled.
